Protesters take to streets of Syrian capital, Damascus
Anti-government protesters in Damascus, Syria, have rallied at a mosque in the capital.
In amateur footage sent to the BBC, people appeared to chant pro-freedom slogans, including ''remove the blockade off Deraa''.
The city has become the centre of a serious challenge to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.
Amnesty International fears 55 people have died there in the past week.
