UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's plea for calm in Syria
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has urged Syria to halt the bloodshed and "stop killing people".
It comes as Syrian state television announced President Bashar al-Assad's cousin, Rami Makhlouf, was to give up his widespread business interests.
Meanwhile protests against the government are continuing in Syria.
