Syria dissidents meet in Damascus
A meeting of Syrian dissident leaders has concluded with a call for a peaceful transition to democracy and a condemnation of the violence used on protesters by the government.
Government officials said they did not object to the meeting of at least 150 opposition figures, but critics say the attendees did not represent many of those involved in the revolt.
Lina Sinjab reports from Damascus.
