Syrian army crackdown on protesters condemned by UN

The violent crackdown on protesters in Syria has prompted condemnation from the UN Security Council.

Human rights activists say tanks and troops have moved into the centre of Hama, the scene of the worst clashes in months of unrest.

Foreign journalists are not allowed into Syria, so the BBC's Jim Muir has sent this report from neighbouring Lebanon.
