Opposition activist says Yemen is 'close to total chaos'

Reports from Yemen suggest a full-blown confrontation is under way between supporters and opponents of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Yemeni anti-government protesters are calling for the president to step down.

Opposition activist Dr Mohamed Qubaty, a former advisor to the Yemeni Prime Minister, told the BBC's Tim Willcox that Yemen is "close to total chaos".
