Arab League calls for Syria dialogue

The Arab League has called on the government and opposition in Syria to take part in a national dialogue to find an end to the violence in the country.

At an emergency meeting in Cairo, Arab foreign ministers decided not to suspend Syria from the organisation.

However, they did urge representatives of all parties in Syria to hold talks in Cairo within the next two weeks.

The BBC's Will Grant reports.
