Arab League presses Syria's Assad on violence
There is mounting pressure on Syria to end months of bloodshed after the Arab League demanded that government tanks be withdrawn from the streets.
The move came as Nato ruled out the possibility of a no-fly zone over Syria.
President Assad's crackdown since anti-government protests began earlier this year has left more than 3,000 people dead.
