Syria unrest: Protesters still at risk from snipers
The Syrian military has withdrawn heavy weapons from residential areas but gunfire is continuing and snipers are still a threat, according to the Arab League.
Anti-government activists say they are frustrated the killings have not stopped, despite the presence of Arab League observers in the country for the past week.
More than 5,000 people are thought to have been killed across the country since the protests began last March.
