Egyptian journalist remembers the start of the uprising
Thousands of Egyptians have gathered in Cairo to mark one year since the start of the uprising which overthrew the president, Hosni Mubarak.
On Tuesday, Egypt's interim military ruler said the state of emergency would be partially lifted.
Abdel-Latif El Menawy, the controller of Egyptian television and radio told Radio 5 live what happened on the day he knew the uprising was about to begin.
