Activist: Arab League 'prolonged' Syria crisis

Journalist and human rights activist Ghias al-Jundi has told BBC News that the Arab League lacks credibility - and may have prolonged the Syrian crisis on the ground.

His comments come as the Arab League is suspending its monitoring mission in the country because of the growing violence.

The mission was set up in December to monitor compliance by Damascus with the league's plan to end bloodshed.
