UN Security Council debates Syria resolution

The UN Security Council is debating whether to adopt a draft resolution on Syria.

The resolution is being promoted by the Arab League and has been backed by western countries.

It calls for Syria's President Bashar al-Assad to hand power to a deputy and demands an end to the violence.

But Russia says the plan amounts to enforced regime change and could lead to civil war, as James Robbins reports.
