Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for Yemen suicide blast
At least 96 people have been killed and many more have been injured in a suicide bombing in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The explosion happened in al-Sabin Square, near the presidential palace.
The attacker, who was in military uniform, targeted soldiers practising for a parade. It is the first such attack in the capital since the new president took power in February.
Al-Qaeda have claimed responsibility for the attack and has warned that more would follow unless the Yemeni government stopped its campaign against militants.
