Pottery businesses dwindling in Gaza City's old quarter
Pottery workshops in Gaza City's old quarter are slowly dying out due to the increased availability of cheap plastic pots and the impact of Israel's ban on exports from the Gaza Strip, which was imposed after the militant group Hamas seized control of the coastal territory in 2007.
In order to preserve the business families are handing the skills of the craft down from one generation to another.
