Palestinian women in Hebron aim for more council seats
Eleven Palestinian women from the West Bank city of Hebron have joined forces to run for city council elections on 20 October.
In 2006 the Palestinian Authority introduced a law that meant a minimum of three out of the 15 seats on Hebron's and other cities' councils were reserved for women.
But by putting themselves forward as a united front, these women hope to gain even more seats.
