Clashes over hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners

Palestinians have once again clashed with Israeli forces across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, amid protests over hunger-striking prisoners.

Stun grenades were fired "to disperse rioters" in the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem, after protesters there threw stones at police, officials said.

The BBC's Jon Donnison was at the scene of some of the protests, Ofer military prison near Ramallah, where the prisoners are detained.

He said that there had been "another day of heavy clashes" and that there was a "real fear that things could escalate" should any of those being held die.
