Civilian suffering in Syrian capital Damascus

The number of Syrians fleeing the country's conflict has reached one million, with neighbouring countries struggling to cope - according to the UN refugee agency.

Millions more civilians who remain within the country have been forced from their homes and are in need of food aid.

The BBC's Lina Sinjab visited a Damascus suburb that has been devastated by the civil war.
