Eight candidates approved to stand in Iran election
Election campaigning is under way in Iran after the Guardian Council approved eight candidates, all considered conservatives.
Former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who entered at the last minute as a reformist candidate, was disqualified.
An opposition website says he has accused the country's leaders of incompetence and ignorance, but his campaign manager says he will not fight the decision.
James Reynolds reports from neighbouring Turkey.
