Cairo 'holding its breath'

The BBC's Jeremy Bowen in Cairo says there is a feeling that the city is holding its breath after yesterday's violent clashes.

The death toll is continuing to climb following violent clashes in Egypt.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which is calling for the reinstatement of the deposed president Mohammed Morsi, said it remained defiant and was planning further demonstrations.
