Syria conflict: US ship to destroy chemical weapons
The US has offered to destroy some of Syria's chemical weapon stockpiles at sea, a move welcomed by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Washington says it is happy to contribute the technology, operational support and financing to neutralise the country's priority chemicals.
The US naval vessel on which neutralisation will take place has not been officially named but is believed to be the MV Cape Ray.
