Residents flee Iraq's second city
Iraq's prime minister has asked parliament to declare a state of emergency after Islamist militants effectively took control of the country's second biggest city.
Unverified video footage from Mosul shows militants from an al-Qaeda offshoot, ISIS, driving through the streets with the group's black flag waving past burning government vehicles.
Thousands of residents are fleeing the city.
BBC's Arabic editor Mohamed Yehia reports.
