Afghanistan presidential election polls close

Polls have officially closed in Afghanistan's presidential election, where voters are choosing a successor to Hamid Karzai.

The choice was between former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah and ex-World Bank economist Ashraf Ghani.

Voters braved the threat of violence from the Taliban who had promised to target voting.

Karen Allen reports from Kabul.
