Call for calm on Gaza Israel border as death toll rises
Palestinian officials in the Gaza Strip say 78 people have been killed in Israeli attacks from the air and the sea this week.
Israel's anti-missile system has shot down several Palestinian rockets aimed at the city of Tel Aviv.
The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon warned the situation was "on a knife-edge".
Mr Ban has demanded that Hamas stop firing rockets at Israel and urged the Israeli government to exercise restraint and respect international obligations to protect civilians.
