Red Cross attacked by Gaza civilians

Paul Adams sees a Red Cross evacuation mission come under attack by local people in Gaza City's Shejaiya neighbourhood

Palestinians in the south of the Gaza Strip have been fleeing in panic from their homes - as Israeli troops continue their ground offensive.

At least 11 people are reported to have been killed. Israel launched its offensive on 8 July with the declared objective of stopping rocket fire from Gaza.

Red Cross officials announced a temporary "ceasefire" in two zones so that they could evacuate wounded civilians - Khan Younis and Gaza City's Shejaiya neighbourhood.

Paul Adams met one of the Red Cross units when they were attacked by local people.
