UN: Kurdish refugees in Turkey 'need international aid'

International aid is needed to address "the magnitude of the need" after about 130,000 Kurdish refugees crossed the border into Turkey over just two days, a UN representative has said.

Carol Batchelor from the UNHCR was speaking as Turkey began to close some of its border crossings with Syria.

Before the latest influx, there were already more than one million Syrian refugees in Turkey.
