Islamic State: Egypt committed to international coalition
Newsnight's Mark Urban spoke to Sameh Shoukry, Egypt's foreign minister, during the UN General Assembly in New York.
Most of the conversation focused on the current threat to Middle East peace posed by the rise of Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria.
Such was the gravity of this development that, Mr Shoukry implied, old differences would have to be cast aside in order to combat it.
He insisted there was "sufficient will within the international community" to deal with the threat, both militarily and ideologically.
