Syria IS: Iraqi Peshmerga fighters 'enter Kobane'

The first contingent of Kurdish Peshmerga militia men from Iraq have crossed from Turkey into Syria to join the battle for the besieged town of Kobane.

The Peshmergas' arrival in Kobane followed fierce clashes overnight as Islamic State militants targeted the border crossing.

The Syrian government has condemned Turkey for allowing the Kurdish fighters to violate its border.

The BBC's Jiyar Gol reports.
