Iraqi archaeologist condemns 'tragic' destruction of Nimrud
A leading Iraqi archaeologist has described the destruction of the ancient city of Nimrud as "one of the most tragic things".
Dr Lamia Al-Gailani, an associate fellow at the London-based Institute of Archaeology, said she never thought this would happen.
She said she hoped that it could be grounds for some sort of military intervention.
