'There is jihad fatigue' says Islamist terrorism expert
Political scientist and expert on Islamist terrorism, Gilles Kepel has told BBC Hardtalk's Stephen Sackur that actions carried out by Islamist extremists will not be successful.
Asked whether the West was any closer to an effective counter terrorism strategy, Mr Kepel said: "We understand how they function better and better...
"I'm quite optimistic, this thing is not going to lead anywhere because they, the jihadists, are going to be unable to mobilise their fellow Muslims and they’re going to reject them.
"I believe there is a sort of jihad fatigue,” he added.
