Testing the UK's Olympic rowing course

In 1948, the last time the Olympics were held in Britain, Henley where the world-famous regatta takes place was where the rowing events were held.

But in the 21st Century a more impressive venue was needed and it was found just 20km away at Eton Dorney.

It was one of the first venues to be completed and crews from across the UK have been able to train here for the past couple of years.

Destination London presenter Paddy O'Connoll reports from the venue where he was given the opportunity to row on the lake ahead of Olympians.

Presented by Paddy O'Connoll, Destination London is the BBC World News TV programme looking at the preparations involved in staging the 2012 Olympics Games.
