Political clashes in Karachi kill 23
At least 23 people have died in clashes between political rivals in the Pakistani city of Karachi.
Vehicles have been torched, and there were bursts of gunfire in one of the city's slum areas.
The violence coincided with a by-election for a seat in the provincial assembly.
