Former ambassador Lodhi criticises US aid suspension

Pakistan's former ambassador to the US has said the suspension of military aid "is not the way you go about getting a country to respond to your requests".

Meleeha Lodhi told the BBC, "assistance is given to build influence" and that by withholding $800m of support, "Washington is actually going to be left without influence in Pakistan".
