President Obama: 'An orderly transition must begin now'

President Obama said he made it clear to President Mubarak that an "orderly transition must be meaningful, it must be peaceful and it must begin now".

His comments came after the Egyptian president said that he will relinquish power, but not until presidential elections scheduled for September.

President Obama said it was not the role of any country to change Egypt's leaders, but the role of the Egyptian people and promised them any help they needed from the US during the transition.
