Barack Obama: US stands with earthquake-hit Japan
President Barack Obama said that the US will it do all it can to assist Japan after Friday's earthquake and tsunami.
Thousands of people died when the magnitude 9.0 earthquake triggered a tsunami that devastated swathes of the north-eastern coast of the country.
There are also concerns about a Japanese nuclear plant, which has been rocked by two blasts over the last three days.
