US storms sweep North Carolina as death toll rises

North Carolina becomes the latest state to be hit by severe storms and tornados that have swept across the southern US, killing at least 43 people.

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Virginia have also been hit.

Officials say the number of victims will increase further as rescue teams search damaged areas, as Tom Burridge reports.
