More than 300 dead in US storms
More than 300 people have died in severe storms and tornadoes across seven states in the southern US, with at least 200 being killed in Alabama alone.
President Obama has promised federal support for reconstruction work in the affected areas, ahead of a visit to some of the worst-hit parts of Alabama on Friday.
