Strauss-Kahn on suicide watch

IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been put on suicide watch in New York's Riker's Island prison after being refused bail for the alleged sexual assault of a hotel maid.

Meanwhile US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has said the IMF should appoint an interim leader while Mr Strauss-Kahn faces charges.
