Republicans postpone vote on US debt proposals
Republican leaders in the US Congress have delayed a crucial vote on their proposal to avoid a default on America's debt after the figures were questioned.
Democrats and Republicans have both put forward rival plans to raise the debt ceiling and reduce the country's budget deficit.
President Barack Obama's administration says the US will reach its legal limit on what it can borrow next Tuesday.
