Hispanic achievement gap 'is critical' for the future

Dr Veronica Garcia was New Mexico's education secretary from 2003 to 2010. Appointed by the then-governor, Democrat Bill Richardson, she has seen first hand how the state's Hispanic children struggle.

She is worried cuts to the New Mexico's education budget could mean that they fall further behind.
