Obama urges Congress to back $450bn jobs plan

In a rare address to Congress, President Barack Obama has urged its members to back a $450bn plan to increase jobs and stimulate the American economy.

Mr Obama said his package would create thousands of jobs, repair the country's infrastructure and offer tax breaks.

But as the BBC's Washington correspondent Marcus George reports, the president is far from assured of getting his entire package accepted.
