Gabrielle Giffords shares Thanksgiving with troops in Tucson
Gabrielle Giffords, the US Congresswoman who was shot in the head in January, has marked another milestone in her recovery by helping to serve Thanksgiving dinner to troops at a military base in Arizona.
It was her first constituent event since the incident.
She and her husband, Nasa shuttle pilot Mark Kelly, joined approximately 400 airmen, military retirees and their families at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.
The airbase's Brig Gen John Norman said the congresswoman was an inspiration.
