Skiers 'buried under the snow' in US ski resort
At least three people are said to have died after an avalanche near a ski resort in the US state of Washington.
Rescuers were dispatched to an out-of-bounds area near Stevens Pass ski resort after reports around noon local time (20:00 GMT).
The resort is located in the Cascade Mountains north-east of Seattle.
Sergeant Katie Larsons said the skiers were ''very experienced'' and well prepared. She added they had been buried under the snow.
