'A teacher with a gun could have stopped him'

Panorama's Hilary Andersson speaks to teachers in Texas, who have decided to improve their shooting skills in case they have to protect their classes against a crazed gunman.

A spate of massacres in schools and colleges in the United States in recent years has led to a variety of reactions.

A lot of Americans want tougher gun controls after the massacre by Adam Lanza at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut but there are many who believe the best way to defend schoolchildren in the future is by arming teachers.

Panorama's Hilary Andersson joined teachers in Texas as they honed their shooting skills and explained their stance.

Firearms training instructor Johnny Price told her: "One teacher properly trained with a firearm could have stopped him."
