Worst hit was Moore, south of the city, where neighbourhoods were flattened and schools destroyed by winds of up to 200mph (320km/h).

Amateur footage posted online, which cannot be independently verified by the BBC, shows a householder emerging from their cellar to find an "apocalyptic" scene.
