Canada Day bomb pair arrested

In Canada, police have arrested two people they say planned to carry out a bomb attack in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia.

John Stuart Nuttall and Amanda Korody have been charged with attempting to set off three bombs in the city on Monday, a holiday marking Canada's national day.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner James Malitzia said the pair "were inspired by al-Qaeda ideology."
