Martin Luther King: Murals spread his dream

Since 1977, photographer Camilo José Vergara has documented murals of Martin Luther King in communities across the US.

He says these images reflect the lasting power of the civil rights leader's message in changing neighbourhoods over the decades.

He told the BBC how the quality of the artwork varied considerably, with some depictions almost unrecognisable as Dr King.
