US Shutdown: Boehner wants to 'discuss differences'

A partial shutdown of the US government could be resolved "by talking through our differences", a senior Republican has said.

Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner said an end to the deadlock could be reached if the Democrats agreed to debate the "Obamacare" bill.
