Larry Flynt: Don't execute man who shot me

Porn publisher Larry Flynt has told BBC's Newsnight programme he does not want the death penalty for the man who shot him in 1978, leaving him partially paralysed.

Joseph Paul Franklin, who shot Mr Flynt outside a Georgia court in 1978, is set for execution in Missouri in November.

Larry Flynt said he did not believe the death penalty was a deterrent and said Franklin should spend the rest of his life in prison.
