Maya Angelou: Museum director pays tribute

Dr Johnnetta Betsch Cole, director of the National Museum of African Art, in Washington DC, has reflected on her friendship and professional relationship with Dr Maya Angelou.

The American writer, civil rights activist and academic has died at the age of 86.

Dr Betsch Cole said: "I was so privileged to know and to love, and I think I can say, be loved, by Dr Maya Angelou".
