Iranian president says 'certain states' created extremism
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed the UN following talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Their meeting was the first between an Iranian and British leader since Iran's revolution in 1979.
He told the general assembly 'certain states' helped create extremism and that "certain intelligence agencies have put blades in the hands of mad men".
Mr Rouhani also said a solution cannot come from outside of the region.
