Ferguson shooting: Darren Wilson quits police force

The police officer who shot dead an unarmed black teenager in the US state of Missouri in August has resigned, days after it was revealed he would not face any charges.

The decision sparked protests around the United States - which have been continuing.

The officer, Darren Wilson, stepped down after being told of threats against the police force if he stayed on.
